What Are Collision Protection Modules?
A collision protection module is a device that protects your tooling and/or surrounding hardware in the event of a robot controller failure by yielding when contact is made between your tooling and another object.
If the tooling crashes, pressure in the module is released, making it compliant. Sensors simultaneously signal the robot to stop. Following the crash the unit is reset.
