Tutorials: Module Datasheet Descriptions
The
information about the coupled modules is shown on these datasheets. It should be
noted that while you need both halves of the coupled modules, they are sold
separately from one another. The “how to order” section clearly shows this
and hotlinks the proper datasheets. These sheets would be used to determine
overall size and physical properties of the coupled modules. These datasheets
list individual Tool Change Modules from which they are comprised.
The External Utilities Robot Module would be used on a
robot that has the ability to feed air line and wiring thru the shaft, flange or
quill.
The Internal Utilities Robot Module would be used on a
robot that doesn’t have the ability to feed air line and wiring thru the
shaft, flange or quill to the utility sub modules like Adept robots.
The External Utilities Tool Module would be used with
end effectors that need to be either plumbed or wired from the outside. The Tool
Module with external utilities can also allow plumbing and wiring to the end
effectors simultaneously with external wiring and plumbing.
The Internal Utilities Tool Module would be used with
an end effector’s tool that can be manifold mounted or plumbed and wired thru
the mounting surface. All of RISTEC’s end effectors will mount in this
fashion. This is also useful for grippers that have top air ports. These datasheets give information specific to the
Robot or Tool Module on their own not as coupled units. The sheet lists utility
sub-modules and accessories available for them. | ||||||||||||||||||
