Sub-Module Datasheet Descriptions

(3) Pneumatic Sub-Module Datasheets

  • TCPR    (8) M5  or (12) M3 user pneumatic ports for internal utilities Robot Modules

These sub-modules allow the user to have 2 air lines to operate the tool changer itself and a choice of 8 or 12 airlines running to his end effectors. The removable feature of these two sub-modules makes plumbing easy by allowing plumbing fittings to be installed on the sub-module prior to attachment of the sub module to the robot module. The air lines are then put through the cavity and attached to the fittings prior to insertion of the sub module into the Robot Module. This sub-module is then simply inserted into the cavity of the Robot Module and made fast with three screws, which properly position it to connect to the tool module’s pneumatic arrangement.

Pneumatic fittings designed to fit in this confined area are sold as accessories and are linked from the pneumatic sub-module datasheets. Fittings are available for all standard and metric tubing sizes.

It should be noted that the Robot TCRE and Tool Modules TCTE for external utilities have 12 pneumatic air ports as standard and don’t require pneumatic sub modules.

  • TCPT    8 M5  or 12 M3 user pneumatic ports for internal utilities Robot Modules

The unique design of this sub-module allows it to mate to either the 8 or 12 user port pneumatic sub-modules  (TCPR) from the robot module. Again, as with the sub modules for the robot modules the plumbing procedure is identical.

It should be noted that if no utilities sub-modules were installed in the coupled Robot and Tool Modules  it would have a 1.375dia hole thru the center. This allows the user to put anything through there that will fit.

(11) Electrical Sub-Module Datasheets

  • TCER    (7) electrical sub-module utilities Robot Modules

The electrical sub-modules section of the catalog has a variety of options in both number of contacts and style of wiring. We also sell the mating connectors to the electrical sub modules.

For the internal utilities Robot Module we have 25 or 50 contact solder cup electrical sub-modules or 25 & 50 pin contact sub-modules with an electrical connector.

For the external utilities Robot Module we offer miniature d-sub connectors for 25 or 50 contacts. The mating connector is available but currently doesn’t have a datasheet.

  • TCET    (4) electrical sub-module utilities Tool Modules

We offer 25 or 50 pin solder cup connector sub-modules for the tool module for internal utilities. We offer 25 or 50 pin contacts for the external utilities Tool Module as well as the mating connectors.
