MSO Description

MSO stands for (M)ounting Adaptor Plates for (S)haft (O)utput Robots.

The MSO directory in the public area can take you to specific MSO datasheets.

The shaft mount modules allow integrators to mount to any shaft output SCARA robots with mounting shaft sizes between 8 and 25mm. Two components make up the design; the mounting module and the shaft clamp bushing. A combination of 4 MSO mounting modules and 7 clamp bushings allows mounting to 68 robot models currently sold as well as many other older models already installed in end users facilities

The design allows for entry of utilities into the end effector through the opening separated by six standoffs. If the robot has a hollow shaft for utilities access, the standoffs can be removed and utilities can pass directly to the end effector. Hardware to convert the mounting module’s access is included. The web site has an interactive mounting selector to determine the proper mounting for the shaft mount robot in question.
