Clamp Collar Kit

Similar to the Standard Clamp Collar Kit (MCC-071-001)
with the difference being that slots have been cut
into the sides of the collars to facilitate the accommodation of a tool holder
or rack.
Components:

Slotted Clamp Bands - The clamp bands are beveled on their interior
to pull against the standard bevel found on all RISTEC parts when a side
load is applied by the locking screws.

Universal Piloting Ring - RISTEC's unique, patented, pilot ring
design allows any RISTEC product to be centered on ANY Adept Technology
Robot or any other RISTEC product.

Torsion Key - The key can be used as a torsional restraint when
mounting (2) RISTEC products together or when attaching a RISTEC product
to an Adept-One style robot flange.

Torsion Pin - The pin can be used as a torsional restraint when
mounting (2) RISTEC products together or when attaching a RISTEC product
to an Adept Cobra600 style robot flange.
Mounting
(2) RISTEC Products Together

Place the piloting ring in the
center of the flange on one of the products to be mounted. Note: When
mounting RISTEC products with one another, there is no particular
orientation for the piloting ring.

Place either the torsional key or
the torsional pin in the appropriate slot in one of the parts to be
mounted. Note: Use of both the pin and key will create an
over-constrained situation and may cause binding.

Line up the other RISTEC product to
be able to receive either the key or pin (whichever was chosen), and bring
the two units in contact with one another.

Slide the clamp bands over the
flanges of the 2 mated units.

Insert and tighten the two locking
screws (provided). The units are now rigidly and highly repeatably
mated together.
Mounting
Tooling to a RISTEC Tool Changer Module
Follow the
procedures described above. However, in the this case, the one of the
RISTEC products will most likely be a blank adaptor
plate, and the other will be a RISTEC Tool Module.
Racking
The slots
on the sides of the clamp bands provide a simple feature for racking tool halves
of tool changer modules. See the datasheet for dimensions of the
slots. Contact RISTEC for hints on how to use
the slots most effectively.
